Rapids Artistic Swimming coaches Sydney and Renee had the opportunity to travel to Clearwater, Florida to compete in the 2024 USA Artistic Swimming Masters Championships from October 24-27. Representing the DC Synchromasters, the two found success over the weekend with a third place team finish overall and top-five finishes individually. 

Coach Sydney competed a Free Duet with one of their DC Synchromasters teammates. The pair finished first with their routine to the song Holiday (one of Coach Sydney’s favorite songs!), collecting a gold medal finish with a total score of 53.3. 

“Masters Nationals was an incredibly fun experience, very different from club competitions!” said Coach Sydney. “The environment was quite supportive and I had a wonderful time, and I am very happy with my team’s performance and my performance with my duet partner! I was lifted for the first time in a routine, which was an exhilarating experience!”

Coach Renee competed in the Combo Free and a Free Duet, highlighted by a close finish in the Combo Free. Just shy of the top-three podium, Coach Renee landed a close fourth place finish with her Combo Free with a total score of 54.4 and collected a sixth place finish for her Duet Free.
