Since 2015, SwimRVA has been collaborating with Hopewell Recreation and Parks to provide free swim lessons to all three Hopewell City Public Elementary Schools — Dupont, Harry James, and Copeland Elementary. This program is funded in part by the John Randolph Foundation.
In 2017, SwimRVA partnered with Mechanicsville Recreation Association to begin serving our fourth area school district, beginning with Mechanicsville Elementary.
SwimRVA operates the only year round pool in Richmond’s east end. Located at the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club, SwimRVA is able to deliver life changing aquatics experiences for agencies and residents of the neighborhood.
A partnership with Virginia State University allows us to bring our Learn to Swim Programs to three elementary schools in Southern Chesterfield – Matoaca, Enon, and Harrowgate – and three schools from the City of Colonial Heights – North, Lakeview and Tussing.
