From the very first splash, Jaziyah stood out as a true star in the Learn-To-Swim program. Focused, fearless, and full of heart, she approached every lesson with determination and made sure to bring her classmates along for the ride. Whether tackling a new skill or cheering on a friend, Jaziyah led by example and lifted everyone around her.
Her love for the water was obvious from day one. Time spent practicing in her home pool gave her an early sense of confidence, and she carried that comfort straight into the program. Once at SwimRVA, her energy and enthusiasm never wavered. Each session became another opportunity to grow, improve, and push past her limits.
Starting in Station 3, Jaziyah made an incredible leap forward and finished the program strong in Station 6. Her journey is a powerful reflection of her perseverance, passion, and natural talent, and a reminder of just how far dedication can take you.

SwimRVA’s Learn to Swim program is a school-based initiative designed specifically for second grade students in the Richmond region, bringing high-quality swim instruction directly into the school day. All lessons are provided at no cost to families, ensuring every second grader has equal access to this life-saving education.
