At SwimRVA, our WELLNESS mission is to prevent chronic disease and disability by promoting senior fitness within our active Richmond community. We understand the importance of all aspects of health and wellness: physical, emotional, social, and intellectual. As a team we want to provide you with the tools and education to help you maintain and improve your overall quality of life.
SwimRVA provides a variety of senior fitness opportunities including 70+ water and land-based group wellness classes. Our senior group exercise classes are zone-based for you to receive the most from your workouts. Below you will see the zones structure and under "Water Class Descriptions" and "Land Class Descriptions" you will find the maximum zone for each class.

SwimRVA offers a nice variety of water fitness and aerobics classes. We have everything including Aquacise, Aqua Boot Camp, Aqua Zumba, Deep Water and Arthritis Foundation. These classes have grown in popularity due to our first class water fitness instructors, world class aquatic facility and fun atmosphere!
SwimRVA at the Collegiate School Aquatics Center, offers several Land Fitness classes such as Cario Burn, Zumba, Core Training, Vinyasa Yoga and Gentle Hatha Yoga.
Whether you are a serious runner, training for multiple marathons a year, a recreational runner, just trying to stay fit, or a cardio junkie lookie for something new, SwimRVA Running University has the program for you!
