Spring Break Camps

Perfect for ages 6–12, SwimRVA’s Spring Break Camps provide a unique, well-rounded experience that builds lifelong water safety skills while keeping kids energized. From log rolling and water polo to strokes-and-turns instruction, every activity is designed to strengthen their swimming ability, boost fitness, and grow self-confidence—all while having a blast. Led by the Richmond region’s top aquatics professionals, our camps ensure every child is supported, challenged, and safe as they learn, play, and thrive in the water.

Summer League Tune-Up Camp

Ages 5-17:  Do you swim for GRAL, RMAL, CAL, or JRAC—or any summer league team in the Richmond region? This specialty skills camp is built just for you! Designed for swimmers who are currently on a team or have completed formal lessons and can perform all four strokes, this camp focuses on elevating the technical details that make a real difference in racing. Swimmers will sharpen stroke mechanics, perfect their starts, and refine fast, efficient turns—giving them the competitive edge they need for a strong summer season. Whether you’re aiming for personal bests or stronger fundamentals, this camp will help you swim smarter, faster, and with more confidence.

Junior Lifeguarding Camps

Ages 11–14. Become a lifesaver—literally. In just one week, earn your CPR/First Aid Certification and build the foundation to become a future lifeguard through the American Red Cross (ARC) Junior Lifeguarding course. This program is designed to teach essential rescue skills, build confidence, and strengthen stamina—no need to master every technique perfectly. Over approximately 30 hours of training, participants will complete 15 engaging lessons that blend dry-land instruction with in-water practice, plus a 45-minute pre-course session. Across two weeks of combined lifeguarding instruction, swim practices, outdoor adventures, and indoor fitness activities, students gain practical skills, leadership experience, and the confidence to keep themselves and others safe around water.

Water Sports Camp

Ages 10-15. Designed for older, adventure-loving kids, the SwimRVA Water Sports Camp delivers a high-energy week packed with variety and excitement. Each day features a new aquatic activity—water polo, kayaking, synchronized swimming, paddleboarding, log rolling, and more—along with 1–2 focused swim lessons or practices to keep skills sharp and confidence growing. And because even the biggest water fans need a breather, campers also enjoy outdoor breaks and dry-land activities to round out the fun. It’s the perfect blend of challenge, skill-building, and nonstop action—all led by expert coaches who keep every moment safe, engaging, and unforgettable.

Mermaid Camp

Ages 8-15. Dive into a camp where swimming and imagination come together! Our magical mermaid adventure lets kids slip on their very own mermaid tail and explore an enchanting underwater world filled with creativity, movement, and fun. Campers will enjoy mermaid-themed games, crafts, and plenty of splashing as they bring the fantasy to life. For safety, participants must be members of the SwimRVA Rapids Swim Team or have swim skills equivalent to SwimRVA Swim School Station 7.

Summer League Preseason Clinics

Ages 5-17.  Athletes must be able to complete a 25-yard freestyle and/or 25-yard breast stroke.

Do you want more preparation before the summer league hits this summer?  Get geared up for racing!  Led by our SwimRVA Rapids coaching staff, this is the perfect opportunity for anyone trying to take their mark and make their mark this summer!

Purchase by the session or get a 25% discount if you purchase all four sessions!  Choose your time:  5-6pm OR 6-7pm

 

Winter Break Camp

Ages 6–12. Give your child a Winter Break filled with confidence, adventure, and skill-building at SwimRVA! Our Winter Break Camp blends interactive aquatic activities with fun dry-land programming to create a well-rounded experience they’ll remember long after the holidays. Each day, campers strengthen their water safety and technical abilities through our station-based swim lesson program, helping them grow more skilled and self-assured in the water. It’s the perfect mix of learning, movement, and excitement—designed to build lifelong confidence and a love for swimming.
