This American Red Cross class is a two year certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. It is the top certification for lay responders, perfect for educators, parents, workplace training, etc. This course will help to prepare you for any number of first aid situations involving adults, children or infants.
This course is the American Red Cross Lifeguarding class, with certification for CPR, and AED for the Professional Rescuer, valid for two years. You must be 15 years old by the last scheduled day of class.
The Lifeguard Certification class is a blended learning course that combines online learning with in-person skills. Please plan to complete all eLearning modules at least two days prior to your first in-person skills session.
If you have a current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or your certification has expired within 30 days, this is the fast-paced class for you. If you would prefer a standard-paced learning opportunity, please register for a Lifeguard Certification course.
This three-day class will certify qualifying individuals as American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructors (LGIs). Experienced Instructor Trainers will coach and polish your lifeguard skills, teaching skills, walk you through the Red Cross materials and systems, even share our experience teaching with water mannequins. Our Instructor Trainers are excited to get you started on your path as a Red Cross Instructor, ready to teach a range of lifeguarding and safety classes.
You must be at least 17 years old and have current lifeguard certification with a strong skill level to take the class.
This course is AP-HSSAQU856, the Lifeguarding Instructor Recertification Course for current or soon to expire LGI’s and LGI-T’s.
It may be possible to recertify you as a guard during the class for an additional fee of $65. You do not need to preregister for that LG certification. If you have any questions about this course please email safetyschool@swimrichmond.org.
The CPO certification is a leading program that ensures pool operators know how to maintain aquatic facilities and pools that are hazard-free and compliant with public health and safety regulations. This class is perfect for those who manage, own or work at a public pool, spa, gym, hotel, community center or another type of aquatic facility.
ADDITIONAL PAYMENT INFORMATION To reserve your spot you must pay the total amount at registration. Cash and checks are accepted at the front desk but your spot will not be held without payment.
CANCELLATION/WITHDRAWAL POLICY Participants must give written notice via email (safetyschool@swimrichmond.org) at least 48-hours in advance to get a full refund. If you cancel within 48 hours of the class you will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
