Located in Chesterfield County, SwimRVA serves the Greater Richmond area as a catalyst for regional aquatics and community-wide focus on water safety, health & fitness, sports tourism and competitive swimming.  We offer swimming lessons, water aerobics, aqua running, water polo, CPR & lifeguard certification courses, masters swimming, warm water therapy pool, land fitness classes, and youth triathlon training.

Water Class Descriptions

Arthritis Foundation -shallow water exercise program proven to help you live better with arthritis. Suitable for
every fitness level. Reduce pain and stiffness while increasing strength, flexibility and endurance.
Aqua Bands Combo– combination water and land class. Great cardio, core and upper body workout.
Aqua Body Blast -challenging deep water body workout to help improve strength, definition and endurance.
Aquacise-a low to medium impact shallow water class. Promote joint flexibility, range of motion and agility
while building cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength.
Aqua Fun –Introductory deep water class. Great muscular strength, endurance, and cardiovascular workout.
Aqua High Energy - a deep water class with an emphasis on flexibility, strength and endurance.
Deep Water Finning– high energy, very aerobic class in the deep water using flippers for extra resistance.
Deep Water Fun-Aerobic deep water intro for beginners. Increase flexibility, strength and endurance.
H2O Fit - great class to increase joint range of motion while increasing cardiovascular health and muscular
strength.
Morning Splash-Wake up with a total-body water workout including intervals and endurance training all in one
class. This class is sure to push your fitness level across the board. We keep it fun and focused for the full 45
minutes.
Silver Splash-shallow water, LOTS of fun and will improve agility, flexibility and
cardiovascular endurance. SilverSneaker Splash kickboard used to develop strength, balance and coordination.
Zero Impact -intermediate to advanced deep water workout using fins to improve muscular strength and endurance.
LAND CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Bands-resistance bands workout for strength training without joint compression. Great core workout while
strengthening legs and upper body.
Boot Camp-High intensity class that is designed to challenge any age and fitness level!. Offers both cardio and
toning components while using a variety of equipment.
Cardio Burn– our most challenging class, lots of cardio and conditioning, awesome workout.
Core Blast– Focus on core strength, balance, and flexibility by performing abdominal and back exercises.
Cross Train- the most challenging class we offer. Great anaerobic workout for upper and lower body strength
and endurance.
CycleFit - Great cardiovascular and legs workout suing stationary bikes for any fitness level.
Funk Aerobics-great strength and aerobic workout while having fun listening to awesome music.
Line Dancing-lots of energy, fun and challenging footwork, great music, learn all great line dances.
Pilates - improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture, and enhance mental awareness.
Senior Strength - Total body strength workout including flexibility and balance exercises. Increase range of
motion, strength and overall functionality in daily activities. Supports a healthy metabolism and reduces agerelated
muscle and bone loss.
SS Cardio-standing circuit workout for cardiovascular and muscular endurance power boost. Upper-body
strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers ball is alternated with
low-impact aerobic choreography. Chair used for standing support, stretching and relaxation exercises.
SS Classic Chair –Move to the music for muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living.
Hand held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a Silver Sneakers ball for resistance. Chairs available for
seated or standing support.
Yoga– A series of gentle postures that improves flexibility, strengthens the immune system, tones muscles and
promotes relaxation. Revitalize and calm the mind and body.
Zumba– Come join the party! Latin inspired dance-fitness class with easy to follow steps to sculpt and tone
your body!
Zumba Gold– Perfect for active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba Class with lower-intensity.
Easy-to-follow Zumba choreography focusing on balance, range of motion and coordination.
