SwimRVA would like to say thank you to our following sponsors:

SwimRVA Mission:  To elevate swimming in the Richmond region making water safety and aquatic fitness more accessible to all.

SwimRVA Vision:  Change lives through aquatics.

SwimRVA Promise:  We serve as a catalyst for regional aquatics and community-wide focus on water safety, health and fitness, sports tourism, and competitive aquatics.

The CDC reports that 52% of the population does not know how to swim!  In many cases this is due to access.  SwimRVA is working to create an inclusive aquatic experience for RVA. We believe every person regardless of age, income, or disability should have access to life-changing aquatic opportunities.  Joseph did not know how to swim and almost let his fear of water get the best of him.  Through persistence, courage, dignity, and truthfulness, he was able to reach SUCCESS!

The most effective wellness programs combine education, social and physical activity.  SwimRVA's 70 weekly wellness classes are challenging and full of new friends.  Sheila broke her hip while planning a trip to Greece with her daughter the following year. Through courage and persistence, Sheila's success came when she was able to walk the many miles with her family.  Way to go Sheila!
